Solutions for CutStars and other Roll-to-Sheet Presses
Tuesday 17. February 2015 - adphos Digital Printing GmbH has developed solutions for Roll-to-Sheet presses like the CutStar, Maybeg, etc.. These solutions sit on top of the existing Roll-to-Sheet-Unit (CutStar), allows personalized imprinting before the roll is cut into sheets and imaged by offset or flexo printing.
Depending on the application, the adphos solution starts with a single manual rail for non-stitched print jobs and can go up to 8 automatic rails for stitched CMYK imprinting. Due to the flexible design, it is possible to adjust the adphos system to the needs of the customer and the various types of CutStars or other suppliers. The base frame can be adjusted to the individual given boundary and integration conditions.
adphos has recently set several imprinting solutions on CutStars and others into operation. Most of them are 2 rail manual solutions for 40″ wide web with stitched mono color imprinting (see drawing). But there are also 4 rail automatic solutions for 26″ wide web with non-stitched CMYK imprinting. The number of adphosNIR NIRWeb-III drying modules varies from 1 for mono color and 2 for CMYK imprinting.
The adphos solution includes the fixation frame to the CutStar and all additional rollers for web transportation from and to the existing CutStar web path.
