HuigHaverlag Printing in The Netherlands invests in the Jet Press 720
Monday 31. March 2014 - Fujifilm today announces that HuigHaverlag Printing has become the first printing company in The Netherlands to invest in a Jet Press 720 B2 sheet-fed inkjet press. With a mixture of offset and digital presses, HuigHaverlag has always been at the forefront of implementing technologies that add value to their service offering, and the Jet Press 720 fitted perfectly with this ethos.
With nearly 100 full time employees, HuigHaverlag Printing is a full service printing company based in Wormerveer just north of Amsterdam in The Netherlands. The company services many retail clients, and has a philosophy of innovation, with a clear vision of specialising in converting data into visual design, whatever the process of delivery. At the top of their list of requirements was a digital press that could match offset in terms of quality, and allow the company to produce short run, promotional packs more efficiently.
Chris Knip, director, explains: “We produce many promotional packs for our retail clients which are personalised to individual stores, and are constantly looking for ways in which we can improve this service, both in terms of the speed of turnaround and also quality. We have invested in digital print technologies in the past to improve this service, but were looking to take the next step in terms of quality, flexibility and productivity.”
“When we saw what the Jet Press 720 could achieve, we realised that this could take our production to the next level. It truly does offer exceptional print quality, as close to offset as we’ve ever seen, so we are delighted to be able to invest and offer our customers better solutions with a faster turnaround. We were also keen to partner with a company with an excellent reputation, and we were convinced Fujifilm was the right company for us.”
Colour consistency was also a key factor in the decision making process, with the ability to match the output of the Jet Press 720 to their offset presses printing to ISO 12647-2 critical. Chris Knip continues: “Our customers demand the very best quality and know the difference between offset and digital, so for us to be able to offer the look and feel of offset quality with the advantages of fast job turnarounds and personalisation that you can achieve with a digital press is a real breakthrough.” HuigHaverlag Printing has also invested in XMF Workflow and XMF ColorPath to help manage the print production and colour management process.
Mr Yasufumi Morimoto, senior vice president, FUJIFILM Europe GmbH comments: “We are delighted HuigHaverlag Printing has decided to invest in the Jet Press 720 and are confident it will help them improve the service to their customers and ultimately improve their profitability. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”
