FESPA EURASIA 2014 EXTENDED TO FOUR DAYS WITH NEW DECEMBER DATES
Friday 14. March 2014 - Longer, later show reflects direct community feedback to attract widest visitor audience
FESPA Eurasia will take place at CNR Expo Istanbul, Turkey, from 4th to 7th December 2014, in a change to the originally announced dates.
The event has been extended to four days in response to exhibitor demand, while the later timing also reflects feedback from suppliers who suggested this timing would be optimal.
“The market’s response to the first FESPA Eurasia has been extremely enthusiastic, with many exhibitors telling us that FESPA is a breath of fresh air in the region,” explains FESPA Group Exhibition Manager Michael Ryan. “After any launch event, we enter close dialogue with our exhibitors to shape the next event, take in their suggestions and meet their needs. Our Eurasia Partner Committee expressed a preference for December dates, and for a four-day show straddling a Saturday and Sunday, enabling the widest possible visitor audience to attend.”
In addition to the market being accustomed to an industry exhibition in December, a survey of FESPA Eurasia 2013 visitors affirms that December is the optimal time of year to attend a show. 60% of visitors set their investment budgets in January or February, indicating that FESPA Eurasia 2014 is perfectly timed for visiting printers from the region to explore equipment innovations and build any investments into their budgeting. 100% of respondents said that Thursday to Sunday are good days for them to attend an exhibition.
Cüneydi Opak, CEO of Orafol Turkey comments: “FESPA Eurasia has brought a fresh soul to our market with its professional understanding of exhibitions and its determination to introduce international participants.”
His comments are reflected in feedback from R?za Ba?o?lu, General Manager Consultant at Lidya Group who says: “FESPA has brought a different atmosphere, discipline and enthusiasm to the market. FESPA brings together the focused target audience and exhibitor expectations in the right platform.”
Adem Bülbül of Öz Anadolu Chemical says: “As a globally known organisation, FESPA attracts the most outstanding companies in the print industry and FESPA gives us opportunities to introduce our products to the global market.”
The first FESPA Eurasia in 2013 attracted an international audience of almost 7000 individual senior decision makers from more than 98 countries. More than a quarter of visitors travelled to FESPA Eurasia from outside Turkey, with the most significant visitor groups coming from Bulgaria, Iran, Greece, Russia, Pakistan and Ukraine.
Neil Felton, FESPA CEO adds: “We very much value the opinions of our community, which make FESPA events what they are. This is why we take an active role in involving key stakeholders, sharing honest information and listening to their requirements, so that we can continue to build a strong event that serves the industry.”
