Infantry man called up to engineering role at technotrans
Tuesday 11. February 2014 - Technotrans has taken on a Territorial Army man who has played a part as an infantry soldier in Afghanistan. His work as a refrigeration engineer is decidedly less hazardous but his eye for detail will be a big asset to the peripherals' company which supplies temperature control, water treatment, inking, oil lubrication and filtration products.
Cameron Gillies is a qualified f-gas refrigeration and electrical engineer.
“I have joined technotrans because they are very customer focused. They listen and respond to user needs and have a good reputation in the market,” says Cameron Gillies, who was previously self-employed.
Technotrans has worked hard to ensure its service is second to none, employing the latest technology to support its engineers but also having the right experts manning the dedicated hotline and using specialist logistics planners to ensure the best technician for the job is despatched where an on-site visit is needed.
“The more efficient we are, the better the service we can provide,” says Peter Benton, managing director. “We are responsive not reactive and it is because of our effectiveness that we have been able to secure more third party servicing agreements with large engineering companies over the past year.”
Direct end user customers feel secure in specifying technotrans, knowing they will get robust back up. The peripherals suppliers offers customers in this sector a four tier maintenance contract so that they can select the right service-cost balance for companies of different sizes and with different requirements.
The four options are:
A product review with advice on what could be done
Cleaning and calibration ( option of once or twice a year)
Full chemical cleaning (option of once or twice a year)
Fully comprehensive service with spares and labour discounts
“In taking on Cameron Gillies we are once again ensuring we have reliable and well qualified people on our team and that we can provide the speedy and robust service our customers expect,” says Peter Benton.
Technotrans is at Ipex at ExCel from 24 to 29 March (stand S5-F395). It is also running presentations at Heidelberg’s 20/20 Vision open house on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 March in Brentford.
