At the IPEX 2014 MB Baeuerle is going to present fully automatic folding in the form of a versatile inline solution
Monday 10. February 2014 - At this year's IPEX exhibition MB Baeuerle will show the fully automatic folding system prestigeFOLD NET 52 with double alignment table DAT 24 at the stand of its sales partner Encore Machinery (S2-E 182). The folding system is connected inline to the creaser Pit Stop DH Speed, an ideal combination for processing digitally printed products. For the efficient production of a selfmailer, the system shown at the fair will also be equipped with a hot-melt unit.
After creasing, the creased sheets are transported onto the alignment table of the folding system for direct further processing. As processing takes place in one pass, the risk of markings or scratches on delicate materials is reduced. In addition, intermediate stacking before folding is not needed. A special feature of the double alignment table, which has been adapted particularly to the prestigeFOLD NET line of folders, is the choice between, for example, one- or two-up applications by entering the required information via the touch-screen of the folding machine. All further settings at the DAT are then made automatically. If, for instance, 1-up production is chosen, the alignment rail that is not needed moves automatically to the side.
The prestigeFOLD NET 52 is a machine with maximum operator-convenience and CIP4-capability. The complex setting automation positions all relevant setting elements. A touch-screen serves as the interactive operator interface. 20 standards folds are pre-programmed and can be called up immediately. A memory for the setting data of more than 200 jobs allows the set-up of repeat jobs within a very short time.
