Offset Printing
Offset is growing at Pixartprinting
Monday 14. October 2013 - Relentless dynamic of the Italian "web to print" company, which signed a new agreement with Komori. Installation of the new Lithrone GL 840 P, 8 colours, size 70x100 with synchronised plate changing, has already been confirmed for January 2014.
The new offset will be put alongside two other systems, already installed at Pixartprinting in 2012, and which will be upgraded to the same software functionality as the new model.
In addition, a fourth Komori Lithrone GL 840 P has been confirmed for the Spring 2014.
This decision is in line with the company’s growing trend, which forecasts a 36% increase in sales (overtaking the consolidated 41,5m turnover and reaching 2013 forecasted budget of 56m). A result undoubtedly assisted with the staggering 200% increase in offset, as compared to the previous year, and with the 35% share of the overall sales.
“Our results are the outcome of the Pixartprinting’s globalisation policy, and our continuous presence and development abroad. Excellent results in France, which is our second biggest market after Italy, impressive results in Spain, where only in one year sales have increased from 0,2% to 10%, and extremely promising results in Germany which are reaching our expectations.” – commented Managing Director Mr. Alessandro Tenderini. However, globalisation policy is only at the beginning and is much more ambitious. Since the end of September there have been online shops in Dutch and Rumanian, to which other European as non-European markets will soon be added.
The offset technology has certainly influenced an increase of single-page printings such as business cards and flyers in all quantities, in addition to Pixartprinting’s quality guarantee and the standard delivery times. Currently installed Komori Lithrone GL 840 P,8 colours, 70×100 has reached its maximum production capacity of 4,000 startups per month. Production reinforcement by the third Komori will allow 6,000 startups per month and give an answer to current requirements.
The implementation of the avant-guard technology is certainly one of the Pixartprinting’s strong points, which every year invest 15% to 20% of its annual turnover in the innovation. However, investment do not stop with new production systems, but also expend into R&D in order to widen the current catalogue with the new innovative products, ahead of the current market trends.
“Offset gives us an advantage of being extremely competitive with our ever growing catalogue, alongside with the digital technology where our focus is on the multiple-page prints for small to medium quantities of brochures and magazines” – confirms Mr. Tenderini. From Komori’s point of view, it would be difficult not to be pleased with the consolidated partnership with Pixartprinting: “Once again they have managed to surprise us with their capacity to transfer ideas into action in no time”, says Pasquale Razza, Sales Director for Komori, Italy. -“We certainly hope to continue growing shoulder to shoulder since the fourth offset Komori Lithrone GL 840 P has been confirmed”. This once again affirms Pixartprinting’s supremacy in the Italian market with the biggest number of Komori offset systems in place.
