FESPA GRANTS BULGARIAN ASSOCIATION FULL VOTING RIGHTS
Monday 07. October 2013 - Associate Member Bulgarian Association for Contemporary Graphics and Printing now full member
After two years as Associate Members of FESPA, the Bulgarian Association for Contemporary Graphics and Printing (BACG) has been granted full membership. This means that the organisation can now vote on issues that will help shape FESPA’s future.
It is policy that every new FESPA member serves two years as an Associate Member. Their membership is then put to a vote by all of FESPA’s delegates who decide if they are to be granted full membership privileges. With immediate effect BACG will have influence over the allocation of FESPA resources to advance the global printing community in alignment with FESPA’s organisational mission.
“The decision to grant BACG full membership was unanimous. They have been an exemplary Associate Member, proactively driving best practice and sharing knowledge among screen printers across Bulgaria. With 27 European Member associations and a further ten across the world, FESPA has a combined global community of over 200,000 print service providers. We look forward to BACG playing an even more important part in FESPA’s growth and development plan”, comments Nigel Steffens, FESPA CEO.
Becoming a full member will enable printers to benefit from FESPA’s wealth of knowledge, best practice guidance, content and business intelligence. As the organisation continues to evolve and champion the industry FESPA is committed to investigating new products and services for its members.
Anka Bimbalova, President of BACG comments: “We have worked hard to promote the print industry in Bulgaria over the past two years of our membership, so we were overwhelmed to be voted in as full members by all my FESPA colleagues. The main aim of our organisation is to promote printers and print in our country and improve the business climate for the industry as a whole. We will carry on delivering quality events and information, share knowledge and best practice so BACG and FESPA can continue to grow and prosper. As Turkey’s neighbour country, we also look forward to meeting and doing business with friends and colleagues at FESPA Eurasia this week as this is an important market for Bulgaria.”
