Here is a small taste of what you can expect to see at Label Expo this year;
NEW! Concept 205C – Compact all-in-one unit for flexo plates
Compact all-in-one unit for size plates up to 660 x 860 mm (26 x 34″), including an redesign exposure bed with efficient cooling system, an increased UV-A output suitable for any kind of plates (digital and analogue), a faster processing system, improved solvent monitoring and drying drawers with temperature uniformity.
Concept 305 DW – the world’s first and most sold flexographic processor with double washout area
Concept 305 DW (Digital Washer) represents the state-of-the-art of washing units for medium size plates
up to 920 x 1200 mm (36 x 48″). The unit works with any kind of plate and is equipped with a particular pre-washer section especially dedicated to process digital plates. Concept 305 DW has two separate tanks for the solvent. This product has been fully designed to reflect the market demand focusing in very high quality production of digital flexo plates.
WebConnect – operate your equipment with added peace-of-mind and convenience.
WebConnect is an exciting new cloud service offered by Glunz & Jensen Degraf to help you monitor and optimise your flexo production. You just need to connect your equipment to an ethernet connection and create an account, and reports are then available to you from anywhere.
WebConnect collects data from equipment and presents it as online statistical reports, enabling you to achieve qualified proactive maintenance, faster response times and increased uptime. This will enable you to further qualify and strengthen the support you offer to your customers.
Sleeve Trimmer
The Glunz & Jensen Microflex sleeve trimmer enables customers to easily cut sleeves in correct and exact sizes. The sleeve trimmer is very simple to operate and therefore does not require any special skills.
The sleeve is quickly and easily mounted on the adaptor using compressed air. The correct sizes to be cut are easy to adjust as the machine is delivered with a measuring device. The knife is made especially for this type of work. It can be used on both sides and is covered with titanium. The sleeve trimmer is delivered with a speed regulation.
Mounting machine for label printers
Glunz & Jensen Microflex is presenting the microMounter, a mounting table designed especially for the label market. The mounting table is suitable for mounting of flexographic photopolymer plates onto sleeves up to a maximum size of 500 mm / 19,68 inch in width and 610 mm / 24 inch in repeat. This very handy model is particularly suited for mounting 1 plate per sleeve and due to its convenient size, it will easily fit in at any label printer.
The mounting table is equipped with permanent shaft to hold sleeves. The shaft is identical to the shaft on label printing machines. Positioning and mounting are done quickly by means of the two cameras and microdots are displayed by a factor 40 on the 2 LCD monitors.
