Monday 05. August 2013 - More capacities for successful contract printing

During festivities surrounding the first official newspaper proof, manroland web systems presented Brilliant Star Printing Services Ltd. in Hong Kong with a new GEOMAN. The printing house’s main product is the free sheet “am730”.
From the end of July 2013, the installed GEOMAN will print editions of the free sheet “am730”, which is very successful in Hong Kong. With this investment, Brilliant Star Printing Services will expand its capacities significantly and be able to meet the requirements of its customers even more flexibly. The company is a subsidiary of South China Morning Post Publishers Limited. manroland web systems is proud to enter a new production era with the prestigious South China Morning Post. Gerald Benz, Deputy Vice President Sales, explains: “The South China Morning Post has always been known for its outstanding quality. We congratulate the publishing and printing house for the free sheet am730 that enjoys similar popularity. We are pleased to be able to contribute to its success with our technology.”
The South China Morning Post’s quality standards are high, and in production, investment security is required. The company has therefore opted for manroland web systems’ pressupdate program for its existing printing systems GEOMAN and REGIOMAN. In 2012, the presses were each fitted with a web width reduction, and the older GEOMAN was also upgraded with an extensive PECOM press control retrofit.
