Tuesday 02. July 2013 - Graphic Liner MediaLiner for Photo-realistic Images on Corrugated Packaging and Displays
Within just one year of its launch in 2012, Stora Enso Speciality Papers’ MediaLiner, targeted to brand owners and the corrugated packaging industry, has gained high acceptance within the whole supply chain. The quality of images on packaging, sales trays and displays has become increasingly important, and MediaLiner offers brand owners superior graphic quality for presenting their products at the point of sale (POS). This innovative product creates a new, not yet existing liner category: Graphic Liner.
“MediaLiner has been developed in close co-operation with brand owners, packaging designers, packaging producers and Stora Enso. It is a special graphic liner, with double silk coating and a bright-white surface. These properties of MediaLiner enable the creation of a completely new generation of high-impact packaging, sales trays and displays to boost sales of high-quality technical products, food, confectionery, cosmetics, spirits and design products in a new and efficient way,” says Marcus Weise, Business Development Manager, Stora Enso Speciality Papers.
Produced at Stora Enso’s Uetersen Mill in Germany, MediaLiner is available in basis weights of 120, 135, 160, 190 and 220 g/m2. It can be used as liner on corrugated boards or open flutes. The graphic liner is suitable for both offset and flexography and is ideal for pre-print and direct printing using either sheets or reels. With its bright-white silk surface it provides excellent printing results and a highly pleasant touch and feel. This enables enhancement of sales packaging and displays with photo-realistic images, as previously only possible with the best greeting cards and in photo printing. MediaLiner is also suitable for spot and effect varnishing to attract even more attention at the POS. A free sample kit with laminated and printed samples (4c Euroscale, dispersion lacquer, UV spot varnish) as well as blank samples can be requested by e-mail to medialiner@storaenso.com.
Stora Enso Speciality Papers has set out to continuously rethink packaging and to serve its customers with future-oriented products that represent real improvements to brand image, design, the environment, the economy, safety, feasibility and functionality, and that have proven in applicable tests.
