Personnel information: Axel Springer with new “Visiting Fellows” in Silicon Valley
Thursday 30. May 2013 - The new participants in the Axel Springer AG "Visiting Fellows program" have been selected: In June 2013, Michael von Stern, 44, Head of Commerce in the Electronic Media Division, will begin his three-month stay in Silicon Valley.
He will be followed in September 2013 by Frank Schmiechen, 50, and Thomas Drensek, 53. Frank Schmiechen is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the WELT Group with particular responsibility within the editorial department for the WELT am SONNTAG. Thomas Drensek is Head of Offset Printing Ahrensburg and Head of Customer Loyalty at Axel Springer.
The first “Visiting Fellow”, Christoph Keese, 48, Senior Vice President Investor Relations and Public Affairs, will remain in Silicon Valley until the end of July 2013.
The “Visiting Fellows program” was launched during the stay of Kai Diekmann, Peter Würtenberger and Martin Sinner in Silicon Valley. Axel Springer employees occupying key positions in the digital conversion of the company who have already made contributions through outstanding ideas and services can apply for the program.
