Wednesday 27. March 2013 - Atex Engage is a web application for creating and managing polls, surveys, votes, quizzes, contests and other social engagement tools on websites, mobile sites and Facebook pages. Atex Engage is designed to help companies grow and monetize online audiences through interactive web pages and advertising campaigns. Atex Engage also collects opt-in and profile information to further help qualify and contextualize audiences.
Atex, a leading supplier of software and services for global media-rich industries, today announces the launch of Atex Engage, a new product that is part of the company’s strategy to deliver web tools for social interaction and online audience engagement.
Atex Engage is a cloud-based application that allows websites and advertising campaigns to be enriched through the use of quizzes, contests, interactive polls, online surveys, votes, and social media. Opt-in profile information can be collected for targeting and analytical purposes. Atex Engage also helps to qualify, grow and monetize online audiences through dynamic features that can be incorporated into any web page, display ad or mobile site.
“Atex is pleased to bring a new product to market that supports companies in building brand and engagement,” said David Montgomery, Atex Chief Innovation Officer. “It signifies our move into the social media arena where knowing your audiences and understanding how to attract and retain them is key. Atex Engage will allow marketing teams to qualify audiences, boost online registrations, generate leads, and increase fan bases on Facebook, Twitter, and other social channels. Ad sales teams will be able to propose and manage new advertising packages that include measurable ROI. Content creation teams will be able to boost reader loyalty, increase engagement, generate additional page views, and encourage original user-generated content.”
The technology behind Atex Engage comes from Qualifio, a start-up software company from Belgium. Major media companies like Le Monde, Northcliffe Digital, RTL, Elle, Sanoma, France Television and MSN are using the technology today, as well as other customers in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. A SaaS-based product, Atex Engage is available in both standalone and integrated models. The product is priced on a subscription basis determined by daily/monthly traffic and the number of websites or social media pages being used.
“Atex Engage can be integrated with our Web CMS platform through either our plug-in framework or through the creation of micro-sites,” said Anders Weijnitz, Atex Web CMS Vice President of Product Management. “We can publish and measure campaigns on any website, mobile site or social channel, with associated metadata to help a site’s search engine optimization.”
Atex Engage is the first product to be released from the new Atex Product Organization, which was formed in January 2013. Atex is planning to bring several additional products to market in the coming months aimed at audience interaction, targeting, analysis, and online channel enrichment.
