technotrans to highlight ink mixing and extended filtration options

Thursday 21. March 2013 - It seems almost uncanny that every time North Print & Pack comes around technotrans has another filtration product to launch. This year is no exception as the company will announce a new product for the heatset web offset market there.

The new loop 40 system promises a consumable-free approach to dampening solution filtration using tried and tested technology.
Filtration of dampening units is becoming an industry standard as printers look to remove variables from the printing process, reduce chemistry usage and waste lower maintenance time and effort. technotrans has a wide range of filtration products to cover the different press formats and dampening volumes.
Another device that both commercial and packaging printers should ask about is the company’s new range of ink dispensing and mixing devices. The ink.dos m manual and ink.dos auto automatic ink dispensing systems allow printers to match up to 30,000 Pantone colours in-house. Either will dispense and/or mix both conventional and UV inks.
The manual version uses 14 different base colours in 2.5kg cans as standard (although use of 5kg cans, 25kg canisters or 200kg barrels are options). The automatic version uses up to 20 base colours in 25kg canisters or 200kg drums. Both dose with extreme accuracy to within +/- 0.1g.
Ink pumping devices are growing in popularity for long perfector and multi press sites. A sealed tank-to-press system cuts out manual handling, reduces waste and enables users to take advantage of bulk price ink purchasing. With a UV option added last year the packaging printers are expected to replicate this migration. Small and medium companies will continue to benefit from the Colchester company’s cartridge based system which include simple hand held options through to highly automated systems.
Keen to be lean? Printers who need advice on improving pressroom efficiency, improving environmental credentials or optimising the cost-effectiveness of pressroom maintenance whilst staying within current Health & Safety legislative requirements should stop by the technotrans’ stand. The press ancillaries company promises a warm welcome to visitors.
