Tuesday 05. March 2013 - Info Activate Solution v1.1 featured at leading conference for SharePoint community
Information management experts from Kodak’s Document Imaging business are assembling with other leaders who specialize in content management and collaboration during this week’s SharePoint Technology Conference (SPTechCon). Kodak is helping attendees explore the latest trends in document management and experience some the industry’s latest and most innovative solutions. Roland Simonis, Director of Technology for Document Imaging, will deliver a presentation on best practices and available technologies for automating business processes when onboarding documents and content into Microsoft SharePoint.
“Document capture and management is an integral element, if not the backbone, of many organizations’ knowledge management efforts. Many times, it’s the gateway that enables business professionals to share and process critical information,” said David Rubinstein, editor-in-chief of SDTimes, the SharePoint Tech Report and conference chairman of SPTechCon. “Kodak’s expertise and technology in these areas are welcome additions to SPTechCon. Their products demonstrate a steadfast commitment to addressing the needs of a growing community of SharePoint users.”
At SPTechCon, the company is showcasing KODAK Info Activate Solution v1.1, the latest version of its distributed enterprise capture software. Built using SharePoint 2010 as a development platform, KODAK Info Activate Solution v1.1 provides powerful new capabilities to help SharePoint administrators control business process workflows and improve how business professionals capture and organize documents from multiple sources into SharePoint libraries.
Kodak’s Simonis will lead a session on the topic “Better Document Management.” The presentation will help attendees prepare SharePoint for managing their organizations’ most valuable documents and for automating the business processes associated with these important documents such as contracts, HR records and sales proposals. The seminar, which applies to SharePoint 2010 and 2013 versions, will teach attendees how to effectively manage content types, data types, metadata, workflows and add-on solutions to organize business documents and information.
“SharePoint is essential to many organizations’ information management initiatives and we are committed to building intuitive, powerful solutions that are easy to use while magnifying the effectiveness of document capture and management processes within the enterprise,” said Rod Hughes, Kodak’s General Manager of Software and Solutions for Document Imaging. “SPTechCon is a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate our solutions, participate in peer-to-peer sessions, and learn directly from people working in all areas of information management.”
