KODAK Lauded with Prestigious Environmental Honor at the Seventh Annual Canadian Printing Awards

Monday 24. December 2012 - Kodak was recently named one of the "Most Environmentally Progressive Industry Vendors" in Canada at the annual Canadian Printing Awards. The environmental honor was presented to Kodak by PrintAction magazine during an awards gala held on Nov. 29 at the Palais Royale in Toronto. The Canadian Printing Awards are organized each year to recognize industry achievements and the Canadian printers and industry suppliers that demonstrated excellence in quality printing, environmental initiatives and business development.

The “Most Environmentally Progressive Industry Vendor” award was given to suppliers who based their strategy and initiatives on addressing environmental impact. Kodak was recognized with a silver award for its combination of sustained environmental performance and continuous focus on innovative solutions that contribute to its customers’ pursuit of sustainability. Kodak’s innovative solutions include, among other things, its recent focus on process free plate technology, which offers printers the high-quality thermal imaging, productivity, and print capabilities they expect from traditional processed plates while completely eliminating processing chemistry and equipment and their associated costs and waste. Helping to align business goals and sustainability goals,KODAK SONORA XP Process Free Plates deliver a more streamlined platemaking process while reducing energy consumption and waste.

This year, the Canadian Printing Awards competition received over 200 submissions. A total of 75 awards were handed out during the awards gala, which attracted over 270 attendees. Kodak also showcased other products in its integrated digital printing portfolio, including KODAK NEXPRESS Press Platform, KODAK PROSPER Press Platform and KODAK PRINERGY Workflow at a booth displayed in the Palais Royale ballroom.
