Digital First Media Names Jeannie Parent Senior Vice President of Sales

Monday 26. November 2012 - Digital First Media, which operates MediaNews Group, Journal Register Company and Digital First Ventures, today named Jeannie Parent Senior Vice President of Sales.

Mrs. Parent, working with Digital First Media’s Publishers and Regional Vice Presidents for Sales, will oversee local advertising and sales initiatives on all platforms.
“Jeannie’s experience across all advertising disciplines and her fluency in both print and digital will bring greater depth to Digital First Media. The depth she brings to our sales management team will allow us to accelerate top line revenue growth in 2013 as we work to execute our business plan and closely measure growth in key revenue categories,” said Kirk MacDonald, Executive Vice President of Sales for Digital First Media.
Mrs. Parent will report to Mr. MacDonald, who will continue to lead all Digital First Media sales operations, including the company’s national sales division and the growing AdTaxi platform.

Mrs. Parent, who was most recently Vice President of National Sales for Gannett Corporation, brings more than 25 years of international experience in multi-media advertising sales as she has held both local and national positions in the United States and Canada. She began her career in Windsor, Ontario as National Advertising Manager for CanWest Media. She has also held several positions including Senior Sales Director of Major Retail Advertising for the Detroit Media Partnership and Advertising Director for the Observer and Eccentric Newspaper group in the Detroit market.
During her time with Gannett Mrs. Parent was integral in the implementation of that company’s Sunday Select program.
Mrs. Parent has four daughters and resides in Chicago, Illinois with her husband Ron.
