Agfa Graphics Demos the :Anapurna M2540 FB at SGIA 2012
Monday 22. October 2012 - Robust, entry-level system ideal for rigids, indoor and outdoor, coated or uncoated media offers wide variety of applications
One of Agfa Graphics’ most popular inkjet systems will be on display and available for demonstrations at booth #2059 during SGIA 2012. The :Anapurna M2540 FB is a robust, entry-level, flatbed UV inkjet printing system, specifically designed for printing on rigid substrates. It incorporates features typically found in high-end engines such as retractable pins, head safety sensors, foot pedal operation and a durable design.
The :Anapurna M2540 FB’s quick-change vacuum bed technology is divided into dual zones, allowing printing on different-sized media without taping off the whole bed. Separate parts of the bed can be used for different jobs in the same print run.
The :Anapurna M2540 FB can print on most any rigid and sheet material. It provides high-quality printing on a wide variety of indoor, outdoor, and uncoated rigid media such as corrugated boards, rigid plastics, Plexiglass, mirrors, exhibition panels, wood, aluminum, MDF, stage graphics and advertising panels.
“The versatile :Anapurna M2540 FB offers very low ink consumption and can accommodate a variety of applications from small to large,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. “The 2540 FB addresses the growing demand for niche output, such as gifts and promotional goods like coasters and DVDs.”
The :Anapurna M2540 FB offers six colors (CMYKLcLm) with white ink and features four production speeds. Its maximum speed, Express Mode, is 484 ft2/hr at 720 x 360 dpi resolution. Photo Mode prints high-quality at 86 ft2/hr with resolution of 720 x 1440 dpi.
The :Anapurna M2540 FB can accommodate media sizes up to 8.3 x 5 feet and 1.77 inches thick and can print multiple boards in a single run for increased productivity. Its flatbed design ensures reliable and accurate dot placement. Eleven retractable register pins ensure accurate media positioning, particularly for double-sided jobs.
