“New XR-640 will steal the show at Viscom”
Monday 08. October 2012 - Roland DG concludes its busy trade show season with Viscom. This trade show for visual communications is taking place from 25 through 27 October in Frankfurt (DE). Roland DG is expecting a great rush of visitors to its stand (F41 - Hall 3.0) for the new Pro 4 XR-640. This printer/cutter is equipped with the most recent print head technology and uses the new ECO-SOL MAX2 ink.
The XR-640 was specially developed for the production of larger volumes. Due to the serial linking of the two print heads, speeds of up to 21.6 m²/hour are reached in the “High Speed” modes. This higher printing speed is not achieved at the expense of quality, on the contrary. The print quality is outstanding.
The XR-640 works with ECO-SOL MAX2. This new ink is available in nine colours: cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) plus light cyan (Lc), light magenta (Lm), white (Wh), metallic silver (Mt) and the new colour, light black (Lk). Light black produces smoother gradations of grey and improves the stability of skin tones and other natural tints.
Roland DG expects the XR-640 to be a great success with visitors to the trade show. “This is a very interesting machine for sign makers. It also fulfils the needs of the existing clients who have already worked for years with the XC-540. The XR-640 is wide, fast and versatile. The special colours offer infinite possibilities, and the print quality is sublime. So we are also expecting many of the visitors to the show to come and take a look at our stand so they can see our new showpiece at work,” says Marketing Manager Timo Keersmaekers.
In addition to the XR-640, Roland DG will also display various UV machines. These work via UV LED technology. This technology dries the ink directly, and the prints can be processed immediately. The RE-640 eco-solvent printer and machines that combine printing and cutting will also be on display. A great deal of attention will be paid to the VS series, which is now also available in a configuration with double white. Thanks to the double white, the density of the white is improved and the print speed (of designs which include white) is boosted.
