GWG Announces High-Profile Speaking Line-up at Graph Expo Seminar

Thursday 04. October 2012 - Packaging, publishing, and printing professionals are invited to hear about the newest GWG2012 specifications for faster, quality-controlled workflows

Group celebrates 10-year anniversary with special
cake-cutting ceremony
The Ghent Workgroup (GWG) today announces an expert line-up of speakers and important session topics for its free Graph Expo seminar, taking place at Graph Expo on Tuesday, October 9, from 1 – 4 pm, in Room W192b. RSVPs are required, and should be sent to info@gwg.org.
Printers, publishers, packaging professionals and designers will hear top developers and other experts talk about brand new GWG2012 specifications, and how they are being implemented. A special cake-cutting ceremony celebrating the group’s 10th anniversary will take place at the meeting.
“The GWG meeting at Graph Expo will help professionals understand how our easy-to-use, application-specific specifications vastly improve workflow quality control and speed,” says David Zwang, GWG Chairman. “The Europeans have widely adopted free GWG specifications faster than the Americans; no doubt because Americans think there is no such thing as a free lunch. Well, in this case, there is.”
NEW! GWG2012 Specifications
The new GWG2012 specifications – a set of guidelines to which a file will conform – will be introduced for the first time at Graph Expo. The GWG2012 specifications were developed to:
embrace the ISO PDF/X-4 standard, allowing for necessary transparency;
adapt to technology and software changes in the industry; and
address requests from users of the v4 specification.
