Screen USA to Demonstrate New Large-Format Technology, Specialty Graphics Applications at SGIA Expo 2012

Friday 21. September 2012 - Screen USA has announced that the company will be exhibiting innovative large-format inkjet technologies at the 2012 edition of SGIA Expo that significantly improve print quality and product versatility. Live demonstrations and numerous print samples available to booth visitors will emphasize the exceptional precision, efficiency and flexibility of the Truepress Jet family of flatbed and roll-to-roll inkjet printers for the specialty graphic imaging field.

“To stay competitive, printing companies need to be able to adapt to print buyers’ requirements for different production volumes, shorter cycle times and more complex projects,” said Sean Dawson, large-format and workflow product manager. “Screen’s large-format digital printing solutions expand printers’ production capabilities and strengthen their responsiveness to ever-changing priorities.”
Top throughput, printing excellence
At SGIA Expo 2012, Screen will give North American audiences their first glimpse of the Truepress Jet W1632UV, building on the momentum created during its successful global launch at drupa 2012 last May. The Truepress Jet W1632UV stands on the leading edge of flatbed technology to meet the highest standards of the point-of-purchase and graphic display markets.
The Truepress Jet W1632UV images on media up to 62.9 x 125.9 inches and offers best-in-class output of 1,011 square feet per hour. Screen’s flexible Truepress UV inks (CMYK plus light cyan and light magenta as standard) provide a wide-gamut color space. Live print jobs will showcase the crisp text, fine definition and smooth vignettes produced on styrene, Sintra and coated sheets, thanks to the 12 picoliter micro-droplet printheads and maximum apparent resolution of 1,200 dpi. Visitors will have an opportunity to evaluate the Truepress Jet W1632UV at different speeds and output resolutions.
Capturing printers’ imagination
At the show, Screen will highlight how the Truepress Jet2500UV’s multi-layer printing capabilities elevate application versatility to a new level. Print service providers continue to be amazed by every new application need the hybrid roll-to-roll/flatbed printer is capable of satisfying. The Truepress Jet2500UV is renowned for consistent, photo-quality reproduction of point-of-purchase materials, banners, trade show graphics and other types of indoor and outdoor displays up to 98.4 inches wide. Booth visitors can see the Truepress Jet2500UV print 21-layer output, Braille formats for ADA graphics, see-through graphics and more. Printing demonstrations will use window film, Sintra, acrylic and other flexible and rigid media.
Complete print-to-cut solution
The Screen digital print solutions will be complemented by the Zünd G3 L-3200 digital cutter. Visitors can learn how to integrate complex, high-speed cutting, routing and creasing/scoring into their production workflow.
“We are pleased to promote the Zünd G3 digital cutter because of its heavy-duty construction and the accuracy and visual impact of finished products,” Dawson said
