X-Rite Showcases Color Management Solutions at Photokina 2012

Thursday 20. September 2012 - Portfolio of X-Rite solutions provides consistent color accuracy for photographers, filmmakers and imaging enthusiasts

X-Rite, Incorporated, and its wholly owned subsidiary Pantone, will showcase some of the most advanced solutions in color management for the imaging and video industries at the Photokina 2012 trade fair to be held September 18-24, in Cologne, Germany.
During Photokina 2012, fair attendees will be able to see first-hand new X-Rite Pantone solutions at Hall 4.1, Stand H020 – I029. X-Rite representatives will be available to demonstrate how their new technologies can improve image quality at every stage of their workflow. Imaging professionals, filmmakers and enthusiasts will learn how accurate rendering of color saves both time and money.
In addition, the company is hosting two free evening walking tours of local Cologne sites where participants will learn from professional X-Rite Coloratti photographers how to take better photographs. X-Rite is also sponsoring a free presentation about the importance of color management in videography and is co-hosting presentations on color management with its PCP Photo Competence Partner. And to offer a bit of fun at the fair, X-Rite is hosting a photo booth where visitors can dress up with fun props and have their portraits taken.

X-Rite will demonstrate at Photokina 2012:

• ColorMunki Solutions – products for color perfectionists who demand professional quality calibration coupled with easy to use software. Meet the newest ColorMunki family member to be announced at Photokina.
• ColorChecker Solutions – ensure perfect color right from the moment of image capture. Whether a photographer wants perfect white balance or an accurate camera profile, ColorChecker targets are must have tools in any camera bag.
In addition to the on-site booth demonstrations, X-Rite is hosting two free Coloratti X-Rite Photo Walks where participants can tour the city of Cologne with professional photographers to get some personalized advice on how to take better photographs. These two-hour guided walking tours take place Wednesday, September 19th at 5:00 PM and Thursday, September 20th at 5:00 PM. Photographers of all levels of expertise are welcome to attend.
Fair attendees who are interested in the latest color management tools for video production can attend a free presentation titled “Color Management for Video” by Eduardo Angel. This noted New York City-based consultant helps photographers, filmmakers, and corporations use technology to enhance creativity. Presentations will be given at the Shoot Movie Park in Hall 4.1, Stand A 7, Tuesday. September 18th through Friday, September 21st at 5:00 PM.
X-Rite is also co-hosting presentations on color management with its PCP Photo Competence Partner featuring Andreas Moos, a certified Adobe instructor, authorized Rhino trainer and X-Rite Coloratti. The presentations will be in German at the PCP stand Hall 2.1 Stand A034.
