NEW INPLANT PLACE DEBUTS ON THE GRAPH EXPO 2012 SHOW FLOOR
Tuesday 18. September 2012 - Multi-faceted Networking and Education Hub Open to All In-Plant Professionals
In-plant professionals from education, corporate, and government printing operations will now have a dedicated multi-function “oasis” of their own on the show floor at GRAPH EXPO 2012, coming October 7-10, to Chicago’s McCormick Place. Sponsored by the In-Plant Printing & Mailing Association (IPMA), the new networking hub will be located in booth #3461 and will offer attendees a wide selection of in-plant-specific education, networking, and relaxation opportunities. The InPlant Place is part of the expanded GRAPH EXPO 2012 emphasis on in-house education, government and corporate printing professionals by the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC).
“In-plant operations are an integral part of the graphic communications industry and deserve to be recognized as such,” says Ralph Nappi, GASC President. “This new show floor hub – along with an increased emphasis on in-plant-specific educational opportunities and floor-wide technological demonstrations – make GRAPH EXPO 2012 an ideal venue for in-plant professionals.”
The InPlant Place not only will provide the opportunity for attendees to unwind and relax but also will be a convenient place for networking with peers to gain feedback and discuss both the highlights of technologies seen on the show floor and the content of the educational sessions. In addition, there will be ‘hot-topic’ roundtable discussions here that will deep-dive into the unique issues facing in-plant professionals today.
IPMA will be offering association guidance and support, and also official IPMA Certification Training, along with information on all special in-plant programs and events at GRAPH EXPO. As a retreat for in-plant attendees to relax, re-energize, and review their show experiences, The InPlant Place will offer daily mid-morning coffee breaks and two evening receptions.
GRAPH EXPO’s in-plant emphasis for 2012 is supported by IPMA, the Association of College & University Printers (ACUP), In-Plant Graphics magazine, the Print Media Centr, Xplor, Rochester Software Associates, and a variety of suppliers to the in-plant segment of the graphic communications industry.
Along with The InPlant Place, two other new features making their debut on the show floor at GRAPH EXPO 2012 will be the CPP Zone-a new converting area for package printing exhibitors; and, the Print Media Centr-inviting attendees to experience the “Printerverse” by test-driving some of the ground breaking communications tools that are changing the graphic communications industry. Show floor highlights also include sections dedicated to: prepress, software, workflow, and design; press, finishing, PackPrint, and photo imaging; and, mailing and fulfillment. Pavilions will include the popular Marketing Pavilion-with a brand-new lineup of hot-topic sessions in the Marketing Theater; GREENspace-dedicated to eco-friendly information, products and services; News Print-the show floor hub for newspaper operations and production pros; Future Print-featuring demonstrations of printed electronics applications in the new “Experiential Lab;” and, Education Main Street. In addition, wide fo
rmat and package printing will be demonstrated across the show floor.
