HP Presents Innovative Products Printed on the HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press at Africa Print 2012

Wednesday 22. August 2012 - HP today announced that it will be demonstrating the capabilities of the HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press on the Kemtek Imaging Systems stand at Africa Print 2012 (Stand F9-F26), 22nd -24th August, Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa.

Capable of printing 90 full-colour A4 pages per minute (ppm) in Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM) and 272 ppm monochrome, the HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press is designed for the special needs of commercial and digital print service providers (PSPs).
“PSPs can benefit from HP Indigo technology in many ways,” said Pierre Driver of Kemtek Imaging Systems.
“Businesses can improve their profitability while at the same time reducing their waste, helping with production costs,” he continued. “Services can be expanded with high-quality applications such as personalised greeting cards, calendars, soft-cover books and security cards printed with special HP Indigo ElectroInk Red.”
HP Indigo ElectroInk Red creates prints that can only be seen under UV light. This enables the production of security applications such as ID cards, drivers’ licences and voting cards.
In addition, the wide media range allows PSPs to offer innovative and creative applications. Compatible with more than 2500 certified substrates, the HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press prints on uncoated and coated papers as well as on synthetics and metallic materials, special substrates and paperboard for folding cartons.
The optional White Ink Kit available with the HP Indigo 5600 also enables PSPs to print full-colour images on dark and transparent substrates. This increased flexibility expands the range of unique products PSPs can offer, providing greater creativity for customers, especially where marketing and sales collateral is concerned.
“The press offers the latest in high-value digital offset printing. At the show, visitors can see the many advantages of the Indigo technology, like fast turnarounds and short-run printing on a wide range of media. We invite visitors to come and see how their businesses could benefit from the HP Indigo Press,” Pierre Driver concluded.
Experts from Kemtek Imaging Systems are on the stand to give an insight to the HP Indigo technology, offer advice and answer questions.
Kemtek Imaging Systems is a comprehensive supplier of consumables and equipment to the printing industry with five branches in Southern Africa.
