Intec range attractive to funders
Tuesday 21. August 2012 - "Intec's equipment is well priced, fulfils a vital function for many printers, retains good equipment value and is therefore attractive as a solid asset to our funders."
Those are the facts according to Steve Price from Ilsley Finance Ltd, who works with Intec Printing Solutions to secure funding for prospective customers.
He says many businesses believe obtaining finance for asset purchases is difficult or even impossible.
“That view is almost universal – and yet in fact it is far from reality,” he argues. “A well-prepared proposal will usually find willing funders at rates ranging from highly competitive to sub-prime. Inevitably the financial strength of the customer will be a factor, but it is only one element of many to be considered and it is our function to highlight the positives and convert those into a practical, acceptable proposal,” he explains.
“One has only to witness our 90 per cent acceptance rate across all sectors, including financing intangibles such as pure software, to understand that proposal presentation is absolutely vital.”
He adds: “The print market is no different from any other business sector in having been impacted by the slow-down over the last year or two, and most operations do not have – and in any event should ideally not use – cash reserves to fund such acquisitions. Better by far to match modest monthly equipment costs against savings on existing media, external sourcing, or other such considerations and let the equipment pay for itself through its use.”
Peter Swann, Channel Manager at Intec Printing Solutions Ltd markets the Glunz and Jensen PlateWriter range; a low-cost solution suitable for many printers. He says: “Sales of the Glunz & Jensen range has gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months. But perhaps inevitably some businesses are apprehensive about investing in capital equipment, particularly given the perceived difficulty in obtaining finance. Yet in many cases the Glunz & Jensen range of iCtP PlateWriters will actually save businesses money by removing chemistry from the metal platemaking process, as well as reducing energy and water consumption. This makes them an ideal prospect for a successful finance application where monthly finance expenditure can be easily compared to savings achieved.”
