Neue Westfälische Küster Pressedruck based in Bielefeld invest in DotLine CTP” solution

Monday 13. August 2012 - Neue Westfälische is the biggest daily newspaper in the region. Together with Lippischen Landes-Zeitung, Haller Kreisblatt, Mindener Tageblatt and Vlothoer Anzeiger the NW group has a daily circulation of 244.000 copies and reach more than 650.000 readers.

Several costumer and advertising magazines are also included in the daily production portfolio of Küster Pressedruck in Bielefeld Sennestadt.
Neue Westfälische has made a high investment in the last three years in the printed newspaper. The three existing printing machines were replaced. Two new high performance printing presses from WIFAG were installed in the printing hall. Together with Ferag new mailroom equipment was commissioned in the same step.
After the update of the press hall and mailroom equipment the reinvest in the prepress department was on the agenda for 2012, commissioning will be this autumn.
The project group, together with Graphic Engineering, Munich, hat several meetings and detailed discussion with different suppliers. Investment volume, productivity and overall cost for the anticipated life time, next to reliability of production and service concept were the main criteria.
In front of all facts, underlined from several reference costumer visits Neue Westfälische decided for DotLine solution. DotLine will install two CTP lines, CTP system VMAX in combination with Haase clean out unit.
