Mark Andy Expands Service Organization in Europe

Mark Andy announces promotions and expansions to its service organization in Europe.
John Hudson, serving as Technical Service Director, will manage the European service technician team, scheduling installations and technical service visits. Hudson has been with Mark Andy UK Ltd since it opened in 1993, and is experienced and knowledgeable on the entire Mark Andy product line. His technical training and insight will add to the strong service resources in Europe which include three European sales and service offices, eight technicians proficient in servicing all Mark Andy brands, and expanded spare parts centres to more effectively service regional parts requests.
Alexander Schmidt has been promoted to Print Services Supervisor – Europe. Since joining Mark Andy in 2008 as print instructor, Schmidt has made a significant impact on the print services group in Europe, leading the initiative for HD Flexo Certification and establishing relationships with critical suppliers in the region. He will be responsible for coordinating and conducting print demonstrations in the recently opened UK Showroom as well as managing his team of print technicians.
Notable additions to the print services team include Florian Stroe and Phil Baldwin. Stroe, a native of Romania, comes to the company with more than 11 years experience as a printer, technician, instructor and supervisor. His printing experience with Mark Andy and Comco presses complement his effective communication style, making him a perfect candidate for press demonstrations and print training. Baldwin holds more than 15 years experience in narrow-web printing and label production. His most recent role as production manager of a major label converter in the UK gives him a unique perspective into the entire print workflow, a benefit when providing consultative support to the number of Mark Andy users worldwide.
