Wednesday 25. July 2012 - Markpro d.o.o. has today been appointed by leading global manufacturer Linx Printing Technologies as the exclusive distributor partner for continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers, thermal transfer overprinters (TTO), laser coders and large character case coders, along with fluids, parts and service in Slovenia, with immediate effect.

Linx Printing Technologies is a leading global supplier of coders, which are used across many different industries where product identification codes, batch numbers, dates and barcodes are required. All Linx products are designed with low cost of ownership in mind and are distinguished by reliability, robustness and ease of use. Linx printers code and mark millions of items every day, ranging from bottles, packages and cans of consumer goods to pharmaceutical products, cabling, electrical components and car parts.
Martyn Ward, Commercial Director of Linx, comments: “We are delighted to be working with Markpro, who have a commitment to outstanding customer service which matches our own. We are continually raising the bar with our expectations of our distributors, and this is reflected in the quality of our distributor partners.
“We are confident that with Markpro’s dedicated team of engineers and professional approach, we will increase our market share in Slovenia.”
Linx believes that the choice of printer depends on the application – the materials to be coded, the complexity of coding required, and the operating environment. For this reason the Linx CIJ range comprises several models, as well as a wide range of inks in different colours, to suit specific applications.
For coding onto flexible film packaging, labels or gloss card, the Linx TT Series of thermal transfer overprinters (TTO) deliver high resolution images, while minimising downtime and improving productivity and efficiency.
Linx TTO printers are designed to optimise productivity with a unique clutchless bi-directional ribbon drive that means there is minimal risk of ribbon breaks and no mechanical adjustments is needed to maintain ribbon tension.
The Linx range of printers for large character marking (LCM) addresses the sector’s need for high performance and reliability, together with low cost of ownership Linx LCM printers can help customers to significantly reduce secondary packaging costs through replacing a variety of pre-printed sack and box varieties with high quality printing.
Linx scribing laser coders use two galvanometer-driven mirrors to move the laser beam over the surface of the product, like a pen. They produce superb print quality and graphics, offering low running costs with the longest tube life on the market (averaging 45,000 hours) and service intervals typically double the industry standard.
Celebrating 25 years in 2012, Linx is based in St Ives, UK and employs over 300 staff globally.
