Franklin Imaging in Columbus Ohio recently completed a building wrap featured on a site-specific print piece, ‘The Always Season’, officially opened at BAM on June 19th. President of Franklin Imaging, Emily Williamson, explains why the Truepress Jet2500UV was the obvious choice for this high-profile project, “The Truepress is excellent for this application because it can handle the weight of the roll of media, and also can hold it flat to print. The pieces were longer than what could be accommodated on a traditional flat bed. When we tried printing with this material on a fixed bed we had to use a roller to flatten it out. It was terribly time consuming. The Truepress has pinch rollers that holds the media flat as it advances through the machine.” As the pictures illustrate, the end result came out beautiful.
Screen’s Truepress Jet2500UV features true hybrid capabilities and can run roll-to-roll media, including paper, vinyl film, banners, textiles and other flexible materials, depending on the job requirements. Products that can be created using the roll-to-roll format include posters, banners, backlit signs, fine art, billboards, decals and vehicle wraps.
