Trinity Mirror makes senior digital appointment
Thursday 12. July 2012 - Trinity Mirror Digital (TMD) has hired Matthew Colebourne as the company's Director of New Business Development.
In this newly created role he will be responsible for the creation and launch of new digital businesses across the group and will report to Chris Ellis, Managing Director, Trinity Mirror Digital.
Chris said: “Matt brings terrific tech, start up and general management experience and I am delighted we’ve been able to attract somebody of his calibre.
“He has a wealth of experience in launching and growing digital businesses. Matt is a major addition to our team. “
Matt joins TMD from Now Technologies where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Previously, he worked as a CEO or board advisor at numerous startups which include: Chartsnow (music downloads); Startup Lab (enabling digital entrepreneurs to turn ideas into fundable businesses); Lunarstorm (social network); Co-Comment (allowing users to keep track of their online comments); and, Nivio (cloud computing).
Prior to this, Matt was responsible for the turnaround and sale of Espottting and before that he ran all of DoubleClick’s non-US operations.
