arvato to develop trust center for secure data management in the health sector

Tuesday 10. July 2012 - arvato Healthcare has signed a development collaboration with the German Stroke Foundation. arvato will support the foundation in its goal of piloting a data management system for a cross-sector documentation of case and process data, in order to provide integrated care for stroke patients.

The Foundation has developed a quality-assured case management approach involving a cross-sector quality model and guideline-based treatment paths. In addition to a “stroke pilot” who is available to the patients and their family members at all times during the treatment process and follow-up care, it features a cross-sector data model.
All data is centrally stored in a TrustCenter, which serves as a central data sink from which the data for case and process management can be retrieved. At the same time, the systems of those involved in the patient care process (e.g. clinics or family doctors) can be linked to this central database. To enable optimum case management for the “stroke pilots” as well, the database will also have a front end that clearly displays all the relevant information.
