Christoph Stehmann Named President, Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies
Wednesday 04. July 2012 - Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI) announced today that Christoph Stehmann has been appointed president of the company's global Document Messaging Technologies (DMT) business, effective July 1. Stehmann will report to Leslie Abi-Karam, executive vice president and president, Pitney Bowes Communications Solutions.
Stehmann moves into this role from his current dual positions running DMT’s business in Europe and leading all customer operations activities in Europe. He joined Pitney Bowes in 2003, following executive roles with global forwarding company Danzas (now a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL) and with global consultancy McKinsey & Company, Inc.
Pitney Bowes DMT is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, installation and service of production mail equipment, including high-speed inserters and sorters, as well as the IntelliJet line of high-speed digital color printers. Large mailers worldwide depend on DMT expertise, equipment and services to generate revenue and grow their businesses.
Stehmann succeeds Ramesh Ratan, who joined Pitney Bowes DMT as president in 2009. Ratan is moving to a new position selling cross-enterprise solutions to Pitney Bowes’s biggest customers.
“I am very pleased that Christoph is moving to this expanded role in our company,” said Abi-Karam. “He is a respected leader at Pitney Bowes and already well-known to many of our global customers. He has the knowledge, experience and relationships to help our DMT business continue to lead in this important market globally.”
