manroland GB appoints new Director of Sheetfed Services
Monday 09. May 2011 - manroland GB has appointed Martin Hawley to the position of Director of Sheetfed Services for its printservices division. Mr Hawley, who officially took up the position on 4th April, brings with him over 20 years experience in the graphic arts market including field engineer and senior customer service management roles at HP and industrial inkjet printhead manufacturer, Xaar.
Says Martin Hawley, Director, Sheetfed Services, manroland; “Printers are increasingly looking to manufacturers for a total solution, hardware – whether that be litho or digital or a combination of both – and supported by the highest quality pressroom products and great service and support. manroland recognised this trend early on and the printsevices and printcom sides of the manroland business have flourished over the last couple of years as a result. Its now my job to build on this success and ensure that from a printservices perspective, we are able to extend this offering to all manroland customers, especially those printers who currently use independent service organisations, but feel they require a more robust or responsive level of service and support.
“Since starting at manroland, Ive been very impressed with the companys philosophy as well as the dedication and enthusiasm of the team. There is a genuine desire across the company to drive the business forward and its great to be working with a group of professionals that is so committed to delivering the best printing technology backed by an outstanding commitment to customer service.”
manroland printservices division incorporates its comprehensive ProServ maintenance package that covers a wide range of services, all designed to safeguard our customers investments and ensure maximum productivity. This modular maintenance support includes regular inspections, safety checks, thermography, machine settings and repairs, tailored to exact requirements.
Continues Mr Hawley: “Downtime is the enemy of the printer, so whether you are running a digital or litho machine, the importance of a comprehensive service and support package that you can rely on can not be overstated. Over the coming months, Ill be assessing the core service skills in this area at manroland and how we can harness these even more effectively to broaden the extensive range of services this division currently offers.”
Says Norman Revill, managing director, manroland GB: “With many years in senior customer service management roles, Im confident Martins experience will be invaluable as we aim to build both the profile and the revenue streams for the printservices side of the business.
“manroland has ambitious plans for the future and with his many years working on the service side in the digital printing sector, I believe Martin offers us a unique perspective on how we can move printservices forward and maintain our competitive edge. There are a number of new services we hope to add to this division over the coming year or two to ensure we continue to stay at the forefront of the market and I look forward to working closely with Martin to achieve this.”
