Creanza shortlisted for winner of De Telegraaf Top 100 Green Companies 2010
Friday 06. May 2011 - HP today announced that Creanza, based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, has been shortlisted as one of the top 25 businesses in De Telegraafs Top 100 Green Companies 2010 in recognition for its business model and print services that help reduce the impact on the environment, enabled by HP Indigo digital print technology.
Creanza is made up of two divisions, media and print, and it was the print arm of the business that was recognised for this prestigious listing. The company was also recently awarded the bronze certificate of sustainability and Frank Davits, owner of Creanza, believes that both acknowledgments are attributable to the companys HP Indigo digital printing capabilities, as well as its environmental policies.
“The applications achievable through digital printing enable marketing professionals to print less and still be more effective,” said Davits. “With personalised content and variable data printing, the campaigns we can produce on our HP Indigo achieve a higher response rate than mass-mailings and the print run is shorter, as the mailing lists are more streamlined. Essentially, you are shooting fewer bullets and still hitting your target, rather than discharging rapid fire in the hope that you hit something.
“This approach is proving so successful for our customers and our business that we will soon be installing another two digital presses, one of which will be an HP Indigo press 5500.”
Being able to provide short-runs cost-effectively through digital printing, is in itself a capability that enables Creanza to adhere to an effective environmental policy. With its HP Indigo digital press, the company can provide the exact amount of print its customers require, reducing waste as well as stockholding.
“We try to take a holistic view of the whole process and implement environmental efficiencies that will not only reduce our environmental impact, but also that of our customers. We offer FSC accredited media, we utilise the HP Planet Partners Program(1), and we recycle as much waste as possible. This not only puts our environmental conscience at ease, but having these policies in place also enhances our reputation as a supplier and helps us, and our customers, to attract business as environmentally-responsible companies,” said Davits.
Creanzas HP Indigo press 5000 was installed five years ago and, in addition to being a good fit for the business from an environmental perspective, the press was also chosen for its high-quality output.
“The majority of our customers are within in the marketing industry and, as a media and marketing service provider ourselves, these customers look to us to provide high quality materials. The HP Indigo press delivers outstanding and consistent print quality, and we use the Indigo in conjunction with our offset presses, with confidence that the end result will be of the same high standard,” Davits concluded.
