International Open House Event To Be Held by Muller Martini and Optys in the Czech Republic

Friday 29. April 2011 - 100th Concepta Web Offset Printing Press To Show Off its Many Strengths on June 29

Muller Martini Printing Presses GmbH will once again be holding the traditional international open house event this year on June 29, at the Optys spol. s.r.o. printing plant in the Czech city of Opava, which recently commissioned its 100th Concepta web offset printing press from Muller Martini.
The event, which is being jointly held by Optys and Muller Martini, will primarily feature practical demonstrations on the new nine-color Concepta, as well as presentations on topics such as printing security products and demanding mailshots. What’s more, the exchange of experiences and discussion of individual solutions will also take center stage at the open house event.
A Top Name in the Czech Republic
Optys is one of the top names in the Czech Republic when it comes to manufacturing premium-quality mailshots, forms, advertising and security products. What’s more, the printing house, which was founded in 1992, also boasts its own sales network for its self-produced office forms. In addition to being responsive to customer needs, the company, which employs a staff of over 400 people, also prides itself on its ability to offer outstanding quality, meaning it continually optimizes its production equipment.
According to Optys Production Director Ivan Svak, the key factors behind the decision to purchase a Muller Martini printing press included the quality and high level of automation, but in particular the Concepta’s diverse range of applications. The Concepta impresses with numerous benefits: excellent print quality, ease of operation, a broad order spectrum, an efficient inking system, innovative ink zone control and short setup times thanks to the integrated Make Ready System.
The Concepta at Optys is equipped with a UV dryer and a Q74 rotary cross cutter, as well as the Make Ready System. These features ensure better performance with shorter setup times and rapid size and job changeovers, while also reducing waste – and all at production speeds of up to 305 meters per minute.
