Heidelberg To Exhibit at EFI Connect

Friday 22. April 2011 - Heidelberg USA is a Gold Sponsor of the 12th Annual EFI Connect User’s Conference in Las Vegas, NV., and will be exhibiting at the event. The conference will be held at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort in the LaFite Ballroom April 26-29, 2011.

Visitors to Heidelberg’s booth (#110) will learn about and see the results of Heidelberg’s ongoing cooperation with EFI, including the newest digital addition to Heidelberg’s portfolio: the VUTEk GS 2000, 3200 and 5000r grand-format printer, seamlessly integrated with Heidelberg’s Prinect workflow for best-in-class color management with G7 certification.
Graphics for both the Heidelberg booth display and carpeting were printed on a VUTEk printer. The booth panels will be wrapped in a spectacular panoramic cityscape, output on the GS 3200. The carpeting in the 10×20’ booth also has been printed on the VUTEk GS 3200 to showcase the variety of substrates that can be output on this versatile device.
Live Prinect workflow demos will take place daily, highlighting Level 3 JDF integration with EFI’s Monarch and Pace print production and management solutions. With the aid of a press simulator, Heidelberg will show bidirectional JDF/JMF presets and job costing information between Heidelberg’s Prinect and the Monarch and Pace systems. Attendees will not want to miss the presentation by Jeff Dunham, Heidelberg USA’s Product Manager Prinect Workflow, on the integration of EFI’s Pace and Monarch solutions with their Heidelberg presses.
A Milestone Achieved
Heidelberg’s Prinect workflow is a complete workflow system for the print media industry according to standards developed by the CIP4 organization. Standardized data formats like JDF (Job Definition Format) facilitate new business opportunities for individuals and companies involved in the creation, management, production and distribution of published documents. Heidelberg was a founding member of the CIP4 organization and recently was recognized by the CIP4 Advisory Board for maintaining its continuous CIP4 membership for 10 years, as well as for its longstanding contributions to the development of the JDF specification and process automation in the printing industry.
