Strong FESPA Conference Line-Up Reflects Diversity and Developments in Digital Textle Sector
Wednesday 20. April 2011 - FESPA has confirmed the final programme for its third European Digital Textile Conference, which will take place on Day Two of FESPA Digital 2011 (25th May 2011) at Messe Hamburg.
In a series of concise, tightly-focused presentations, a high-calibre line-up of industry experts will explore and explain the diversity of the digital textile sector and the rapid pace of change in technology, business models and opportunities.
The conference features a special focus on “Business Applications of Digital Textile Printing”, followed by a panel discussion on how to identify and leverage opportunities. Other presentations will look at supporting sustainability and mass customisation in a totally digital supply chain, and the opportunities and challenges of creating “smart fabrics” by printing functional materials using inkjet technology. Technical topics covered include: developments in direct-to-garment printing; merging digital textile printing with traditional rotary printing; the evolution of industrial digital high-speed printing equipment, and printing on polyester fabric with water-based disperse dyes.
