SGIA Transforms Beginners into Screen-Making Professionals
Wednesday 20. April 2011 - Weeklong workshop teaches the fundamentals of screen making for every level
SGIA’s new and improved workshop, “Screen Making: Basic to Professional,” on June 27-July 1, 2011, is back by popular demand to tackle the how and why of screen making for virtually every job.
Workshop instructors Art Dobie, Sefar Printing Solutions Inc; Dave Dennings, KIWO Inc; and Ray Greenwood, SGIA, will challenge every student by combining hands-on experience with supporting theory. These industry experts will begin with the basics, then move to cutting-edge technology and discuss proven techniques that save time and money:
-Methods for choosing the right mesh
-Proper stretching procedures
-Correct stencil application
-Troubleshooting results
“I expected to learn the basic understanding of screen making methods, and in my opinion this goal was completely achieved. As I was a novice to the industry, it was a great step for me to understand industrial screen printing applications,” said past attendee Konstantin Radionov, The Solar Venture.
This exclusive workshop, held at SGIA’s state-of-the-art laboratory located in Fairfax, Virginia (a suburb of Washington, DC), is limited to only 12 students. Registration is $749 for SGIA members and $899 for nonmembers.
