Tobias Associates announce two new product launches at NorthPrint 2011
Tuesday 19. April 2011 - Tobias Associates, Inc. will exhibit its new model SD3-40 Scanning Densitometer at Northprint 2011. Now equipped with a large touch screen computer and windows based software programming for use with the recently released Closed Loop Module for automatic ink key control.
The model SD3 may be used to monitor colour bars as narrow in height as 1.6mm through the use of its “Seek & Find” software. It further features automatic calibration, self guided software instructions, and internal line voltage stabilization.
The new Closed Loop Module “CLM” will also be on display. The CLM, when connected with the model SD3, SDT or X-Rite Scanning Systems, may be used to automatically control the ink fountain through the use of colour bar scanning to correct for out of tolerance ink keys;
the CLM may be used with a variety of web or sheet-fed presses.
Also available will be, Eplex an Ink Key Presetting System which will measure conventional metal plates or read digital CIP files to give percentage images coverage for each plate. EPLEX with its PSM Press Side Module is flexible enough to be used on many different brands of press consoles and uses digital information allows for high level of precision for low coverage area and text.
Tobias will also have its innovative line of portable hand held reflection densitometers available for demonstration throughout the show.
