New “Silverback” Series for Roll-Up and Pop-Up
Wednesday 13. April 2011 - Regulus, South German manufacturer of inkjet media for large-format printing, is launching a new series of products for use in Roll-Up Displays, Pop-Up Walls and other POP Displays.
They all have the silver-coloured back in common, which, in addition to an elegant optical impression, also has an optimal light-blocking effect. This is important when used in the display, as the shadow of the display connecting rod is otherwise often a visibly disturbing factor on the front. The basis is a polyester film that makes the “dishing” of the advertising banner a thing of the past, even when rolled up and out several times. When the nearly 300 my strong Pop-Up version was being developed, attention was paid to the fact that the dimension stability and stiffness of the material are ideal for multi-panel wall constructions and that magnet or Velcro adhesive tapes stick well to the back. The manufacturer offers the films with two coatings: a quick-drying combi-coating for latex and all solvent inks, as well as a universal coating for all water-based ink systems. Although laminatability is one of the standard features, the surface, particularly in the solvent version, is so robust and optically appealing even without laminate that an additional finish is mostly unnecessary. Available sizes and additional technical data are listed at www.regulus.de. Regulus products are also available at specialist digital-print shops.
