Rengo Invests in Shinwa Shiki
Friday 08. April 2011 - Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that it has acquired 99.5% of shares issued by Shinwa Shiki Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Hikari-shi, Yamaguchi Prefecture; President: Masanori Nakamura), making Shinwa Shiki a subsidiary company.
Shinwa Shiki is a corrugated box manufacturer with a number of first-rate customers. Operating principally in Yamaguchi Prefecture, the company is also involved in the kraft paper bag business. Rengo will post executives on Shinwa Shikis board of directors and work to strengthen the companys corporate structure through production and sales support. Rengo will also instigate collaboration between Shinwa Shiki and Rengos group companies and directly controlled plants nearby in an effort to enhance the Rengo Groups corrugated packaging and bag manufacturing businesses in the Chugoku region of Japan.
