East Lothian Council Print Unit saves money by switching to TPS
Thursday 07. April 2011 - East Lothian Council Print Unit have recently switched their supply of inks and press room consumables to Total Print Supplies (TPS) available from the Robert Horne Group, giving them an average cost saving of 10-15% per month.
East Lothian Council Print selected Robert Horne (TPS) as their supplier of choice for all their ink requirements including pantones, metallics and specials mixes. They also purchase a wide range of consumables such as vinyl gloves and spray powder.
Wendy Neill, Business Administration Officer for East Lothian Council Print Unit explains why she is delighted with the service she has received from TPS:
“The benefits of changing supplier have been significant; we have been given a fantastic service and made considerable cost savings of 10-15% each month”.
By switching to the TPS branded range of vegetable based inks, East Lothian Print has also enhanced their green credentials. “We are very happy with the new inks which run perfectly through our machines and complement the environmental papers we already use as part of our standard green practice” stated Ms Neill. “The added bonus of combined deliveries of consumables with our existing Robert Horne paper supplies has even helped to reduce our carbon footprint. East Lothian Council Print is continually evaluating our impact on the environment and we endeavour to ensure best practice is considered in every aspect of purchasing. Combined delivery has also eased administration and improved efficiencies as deliveries are now collective, avoiding wasted down time waiting for split deliveries to arrive.”
Ms Neill commented on TPS technical services “We have found the technical service provided by TPS to be first-rate. They advised us on the best products to meet our requirements, supplying both technical details and samples of inks. The TPS team have been a pleasure to work with giving frank, honest responses and the transition from our previous supplier to TPS could not have been smoother.”
Steve Brading, PaperlinX Business Development Director states:
