Local Contract Packaging Company Expands Repackaging Services
Thursday 31. March 2011 - Tampa-based contract packaging company, Versatile Packagers, has extended their line of services to include more repackaging options for its clients.
Since 1991, Versatile Packagers has provided a wide array of unsurpassed packaging solutions. Today, it is an award-winning company that has grown from 15,000 square feet to 150,000 square feet and has expanded into a full service custom packaging and warehouse provider of turnkey solutions.
Repackaging has always been one of the company’s specialties, but in the past few years, especially around the holiday seasons, there has been a spike in demand for additional and creative repackaging solutions.
Bob Vande Weghe, President of Versatile Packagers, said, “Lots of customers today want to save money, and purchasing combination packs or buying in bulk is often convenient and less expensive. Companies recognize this, and are looking for new ways to keep their customers pleased.”
Repackaging, the process of redoing or undoing an existing type of packaging to reflect new standards, is increasingly popular with alcohol distributers. Versatile Packagers received their bond to repackage alcoholic beverages in 2005. Since then they have repackaged and put together promotions for Bacardi and Coke, Alize and Cognac, Buy One Get One Free Wine Bottles and more.
Rick Shave, CEO of Versatile Packagers, added, “Today, we do all types of repackaging including gift sets for the holidays, bulk packs for club stores, and even some downsizing: taking bulk materials and breaking them down into specified consumer quantities.”
In addition to offering contract packaging services, Versatile Packagers utilizes its warehouse space for product storage, fulfillment and distribution. With their state of the art warehouse management and order processing system, they enable their customers to manage their inventory effectively and efficiently.
