Kimoplate MT, Metal Plates for the Kimosetter-525
Thursday 31. March 2011 - The first metal plate from Kimoto has been released following extended field testing.
Kimoto has unveiled the Kimoplate MT, the first metal ink jet CtP plate produced by Kimoto. The plate has been produced following user demand for an aluminium based plate option for the popular Kimosetter 525. The Kimoplate MT has the same one-step-to-press capability as the Kimoplate Ze and offers similar, easy to use, print characteristics that have made the Kimoplate range a popular choice for printers around the world.
The Kimoplate MT is targeted at short run lengths, up to 20,000, and spot color or four color printing. It can be used with all types of printing ink and does not require special fountain solutions. The Kimoplate MT is matched perfectly to the Kimosetter 525 and produces repeatable images day after day through the use of the cationic UV inkjet imaging system. Calibration of the imaging system to the Kimoplate MT is carried out in a few minutes through uploading of calibration data into the RIP software.
The Kimoplate MT is manufactured in the USA at the Kimoto Tech, Cedartown, GA, plant and is subjected to the same, high level, quality assurance regime as all of our industrial, electronic and graphics coating products. Base thickness for the Kimoplate MT is 0.15mm and it is available in all of the popular 2-up press sizes up to 525mm x 459mm. Custom sizes can be produced on request through your Kimoplate dealer.
