MWV Names John K. Sanfacon as President of Food Service Consumer Packaging Business

Wednesday 23. March 2011 - MeadWestvaco Corporation (NYSE: MWV) announced John K. Sanfacon joined the company as president of the Food Service packaging business, effective Nov. 29, 2010.

In this role, Mr. Sanfacon will drive strategic, transformational growth by commercializing new offerings across the MWare family of products. Under Mr. Sanfacon’s leadership, MWV will continue to deliver packaging insights and solutions that help its customers’ businesses and brands succeed.
“MWV’s Food Service business has an innovative product portfolio of sustainable food service packaging,” said Bob Feeser, senior vice president, Packaging. “I’m confident that John’s deep expertise in parallel fields including quick-service restaurants will help drive continued global growth for MWV’s Food Service business.”
Mr. Sanfacon brings more than 20 years of experience in the quick-service and full-service restaurant field to MWV. Mr. Sanfacon most recently served as head of marketing and innovation at Jiffy Lube International, Inc. Prior to that, his previous roles included interim chief marketing officer at Denny’s; senior director, Worldwide Menu Marketing & Development at McDonald’s, Inc.; Director Marketing Innovation and Consumer Insights at Pizza Hut/Yum Brands/Pepsico; and senior market research analyst at General Mills Restaurants, Inc./The Olive Garden.

Mr. Sanfacon holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rollins College, and a master’s in business administration from the Rollins College – Crummer Graduate School of Business.
