CPI apprentices profiled in national magazine
Monday 21. March 2011 - Two successful CPI apprentices are profiled in the latest issue of the trade magazine Imprint.
Tom Lynch and Gary West both recently completed their apprenticeships in the binding department of CPI William Clowes, the Beccles-based directory/reference and non-standard format specialist.
Their achievement features in the March/April issue of the magazine for members of the British Print Industries Federation (BPIF). Under the headline, The Apprentice. Youre Hired!, the staff members explain how they have benefited from their training at CPI.
Spencer Armes, general manager of customer services at CPI William Clowes, said: “We value the cross-fertilisation of knowledge and skills to give them a competitive edge and also maintain a keen sense of being part of a team.”
CPI works with BPIF Training as part of its skills development programme. The company believes in ongoing staff training to complement the traditional skills base provided by employees who have served many years in the industry. A key outcome of the programme is ensuring people have the right skills and the flexibility to work across different areas and with a high appreciation of quality standards.
Both apprentices are pleased to have successfully completed their training and are looking forward to developing their careers with CPI.
