LFP - Large-Format-Printing
Mimaki with latest grand format innovations JV34-260 and JFXplus at Fespa Digital Hamburg
Tuesday 08. March 2011 - Mimaki will showcase almost its complete portfolio of printers and cutters at Fespa Digital Hamburg (hall A4, stand D20), including the recently launched JV34-260 super wide format printer and JFX-1631plus grand format UV flatbed printer.
Mimaki presents a set of technologically innovative solutions that enable print companies to expand their business opportunities in graphic arts, sign graphics, textile and apparel and industrial markets. An extensive portfolio of UV curing, (eco)-solvent and dye sublimation inkjet printers, as well as roll and flatbed cutting machines, will be demonstrating Mimakis innovative spirit and engineering precision.
The brand new JV34-260, available from April 2011, will be showcased in Hamburg as solvent model, showing its high quality printing capabilities and productive speeds. Compared to its predecessor JV33-260, the JV34-260 prints 70% faster and is equipped with the very latest print head technology. At an accessible price and low total cost of ownership, the JV34-260 is ideal for print companies who would like to expand into the super wide segment, while still having the flexibility of printing smaller signage as well. In the near future the JV34-260 will also be available as dye sublimation paper transfer model for producing various types of soft signage.
The new JFX-1631plus UV flatbed printer is also one of the two recent innovations at the stand. In comparison with its predeccessor JFX Series, the JFX plus Series can print 80% faster, up to 23.6 m2/h. This dramatic speed increase is the result of an additional post-curing unit that cures the print after it has initially been cured by the LEDs on the carriage. This enhanced productivity comes on top of the high print precision for which the JFX has already been known in the market.
Furthermore, visitors may experience Mimakis revolutionary UJF-3042 compact tabletop UV LED printer, now also capable of printing special effects, such as shiny drops of water, with the newly developed clear varnish. The machines versatility, affordability and excellent print quality has made this printer an irresistible solution for companies in search of small run production and variable data printing of different small objects and products. Not only small signs, badges and promotional products can be considered as attractive print applications, also in markets for covers of electronic products (mobile phones) and packaging (mock-ups) lie promising business opportunities.
Mimaki will further demonstrate beautiful silver and golden metallic effects on various labels and signage with its eco solvent silver ink (ES3). The arrival of silver ink has greatly increased the possibilities for print companies to add creative value to their products.
Last but not least, textile professionals amongst the visitors may expect an appealing overview of Mimaki´s solutions for digital printing for soft signage and apparel. Direct and transfer sublimation printers, such as the new highly productive TX400-1800D and super wide format JV5-320DS, will show that high speed printing and impressive print quality can go hand in hand.
