HEARST MAGAZINES INTERNATIONAL LAUNCHES COSMOPOLITAN IN ARMENIA
Thursday 24. February 2011 - 63rd Edition of Worlds Best-Selling Womens Magazine to Debut March 2011
Cosmopolitan, the worlds leading young womens magazine, will launch an edition in Armenia with the March 2011 issue, on newsstands February 25, today announced Duncan Edwards, president & CEO of Hearst Magazines International (HMI). Cosmopolitan Armenia will be published in partnership with Media Partners CJSC.
The debut issue of Cosmopolitan Armenia will feature Armenian-American Kim Kardashian on its cover. The magazine will appeal to young, stylish women interested in advice and features on relationships, fashion, beauty and entertainment. Hrachuhi Utmazyan has been named Cosmos editor and the magazine will have an initial circulation of 5,000.
The best-selling magazine in its category, Cosmopolitan has 62 international editions, in addition to its U.S. flagship, having most recently launched in Mongolia and the Middle East. The magazine is published in 32 languages and distributed in over 100 countries, making it one of the most dynamic brands worldwide.
“The Cosmopolitan brand has been very successful around the world and were pleased to be rolling out our 63rd edition this spring in Armenia,” said Edwards. “Working with Media Partners, a very well-respected local publisher, we are confident that Cosmo will do well with Armenian women.”
