MMRGlobal and Kodak Launch MMRPro 550 at HIMSS 2011
Monday 21. February 2011 - Television Host Kira Reed in Person and Featured in New 550 Product Video
MMRGlobal, Inc. (OTCBB: MMRF) (“MMR”) today announced it will begin shipping the Company’s MMRPro 550 document imaging and management solution starting in April. Joined by executives from Kodak, the system is being demonstrated in the MMR booth #3937 at HIMSS 2011. The MMRPro 550 uses a proprietary customized interface on the new Kodak Scan Station 550.
MMRGlobal Spokesperson Kira Reed, television host and entertainment reporter for the Daytime Emmy Awards, which is being co-executive produced by MMR Chairman and CEO Robert H. Lorsch and Associated Television International CEO David McKenzie, is also at MMR’s HIMSS booth. She appears as the Company’s spokesperson in the new MMRPro video, which details the system’s ease-of-use, its unique barcode forms technology, system security and cost benefits, including stimulus money payable to physicians under the MMRPro Stimulus Program. Attendees visiting MMR’s booth at the show will have a chance to win two tickets to the 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards in Las Vegas this June as VIP guests, which includes limousine pickup, hotel accommodation, backstage passes and access to the Celebrity After-Party where they will be able to meet the stars.
The MMRPro 550 system (www.mmrprovideos.com) is powered by Kodak’s Scan Station 550 and incorporates the power of Kodak Capture Pro Software to enhance direct connection to MMRPro Software. MMRPro’s secure, Web-based document management and imaging solution enables easy capture and access to paper-based patient documents and charts with the utmost security critical to healthcare professionals and their patients. Also on display at HIMSS is the new KODAK i4600 Series Scanner which also runs MMRPro at lightning speeds of up to 120 pages per minute.
“Using MMRPro today makes it easier for physicians to ultimately transition to a full-blown certified EMR system,” said Lorsch. “This helps doctors qualify for stimulus dollars from the government and, additionally, from MMR’s proprietary stimulus program, which can reward physicians with payments that could be far in excess of the government’s stimulus program. The new 550 system employs a unique pre-printed barcode technology that generates patient form packets, which makes the control and management of documents seamless and secure. The MMRPro solution directly addresses the needs of small medical offices, group practices, surgery centers and hospitals that rely heavily on using transactions-based processes and forms, including patient billing, prescription data, and medical charts.”
MMRPro also includes an e-prescribing module and an integrated patient portal, enabling patients to have timely access to their personal health information through MyMedicalRecords’ secure personal health records technology (www.mymedicalrecords.com). Using MMRPatientView.com, patients can quickly and conveniently see their health information and can also upgrade to a full-featured MyMedicalRecords account. Physicians receive a percentage of revenue from patient upgrades under the MMRPro Stimulus Program.
The transactional Kodak Scan Station 550 features a customized solution using the capture and output capabilities found in Kodak Capture Pro Software, including barcodes, OCR, MICR and others. The new scanner incorporates an intuitive GUI touch panel allowing users to work seamlessly with the MMRPro Software, enabling the user to scan patient-related healthcare documents directly into MMRPro with the push of a single button. The MMRPro Software also allows updates for patient files via fax, email or telephone messages, through secure, staff-based permissions.
