ECRM TO DEMONSTRATE AFFORDABLE DIGITAL PRINTING SOLUTION AT GOA 2011
Friday 18. February 2011 - ECRM today announced that they will be introducing the DPP1200 digital production press next week at the Graphics of the Americas 2011 Expo and Conference. Being shown for the first time anywhere, the DPP 1200 is positioned to deliver commercial quality color for the demands of today's commercial printer.
This new and innovative solution will offer an economically-priced supplement to their current print production offerings. The digital press will be capable of producing high-quality business cards, posters, brochures, magazine covers, real-estate pages and much more in line screens up to 175 lpi.
ECRM will also be demonstrating the latest in their family of violet platesetters, the MAKO 400. ECRM solutions will be exhibited at the booth of Intergraph, their deal partner (booth #714). The GOA 2011 show is being held at the Orange County Convention Center from February 24-26.
ECRM Quote
“ECRM understands that many printers have resisted investing in expensive digital presses that come with new production workflows, such as labor that needs to be trained to operate and maintain these systems. These solutions have historically made digital printing a very costly endeavor,” notes ECRM Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Doug Barr. “Yet without a quality solution, new revenue streams from short-run digital jobs are escaping down the street to competitors and corner fast-print outlets. ECRM’s DPP 1200 allows the printer to produce jobs with a single workflow, and enables production managers the choice of either digital or conventional offset printing. With a low cost of entry and a very affordable cost per page, the DPP 1200 makes high-quality digital printing a real-world reality for any commercial printer.”
The MAKO 400
The MAKO 400 is a 4-up platesetter which offers all the benefits of the company’s flatbed violet imaging technology with new ECRM patented enhanced imaging Gen4 optics. The MAKO 400 offers the highest quality image output with resolution sets from 1200 to 3556 dpi. It’s also one the fastest 4-page solutions in its class, imaging over 25 Speedmaster 74 plates per hour at 2400 dpi.
