CGS Publishing Technologies International Releases New Version of ORIS Color Tuner // Web
Thursday 17. February 2011 - Version 1.2 adds support for demanding packaging applications on new printers from Canon, Epson and Roland; ORIS first to achieve FOGRA certification on the Epson Stylus Pro 4900.
CGS Publishing Technologies International today announced worldwide availability of the latest version of ORIS Color Tuner // Web, the company’s market-leading proofing system. Version 1.2 provides full device support – including advanced color measurement and packaging-specific features – for high-end inkjet devices from Canon, Epson and Roland. The software has enabled CGS to become the first company to achieve FOGRA certification on the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 printer.
For demanding packaging and prototyping applications, the latest version fully supports the gloss varnish and cutting modes of the Roland VersaUV LEC-330 printer and adds the Roland VersaCAMM VS-300, VS-420, VS-540 and VS-640 to the line for continuous and screen dot printing with white and metallic ink effects.
By using all of the features of the Epson Stylus Pro 4900, including Epson halftoning technology at all resolutions, ORIS Color Tuner // Web provides the optimum in color management power, ease of use and flexibility. ORIS utilizes the printer’s built-in spectrophotometer for automated calibration, which is perfect for remote proofing applications. The Epson Stylus Pro 7890 and the Canon ImagePROGRAF iPF6350 have also been FOGRA Certified with ORIS Color Tuner // Web.
A host of enhancements in productivity, color correction functions and job management complete an impressive list of new features that maintain ORIS Color Tuner // Web at the top of its class in professional color proofing solutions.
